Description

We are recruiting for a permanent hire, Accounting Manager for our client. Perm Hire roles are ones in which you become our clients' employee from day one (not temp). This is a full time role with two direct reports, in a growing distribution company. The person we're seeing is technology friendly, and is the type of person who looks for ways to manage in a continuous improvement type of model.
The Accounting Manager oversees the general accounting functions for the business. Primarily this includes oversight of payables and receivables for all vendors and customers. You'll be the backup to your staff when appropriate, but you'll manage their routine activities, as well as special projects.

Responsibilities:
Maintain an accurate picture of DSO, aging, and monitoring of expected invoices (weekly, monthly, and ongoing)
Provide backup to team for AP/AR functions when needed
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports.
Provide follow up inquiries to for outstanding collection needs
Coordinate with other department (sales, purchasing, and warehouse) on sharing critical information
Work with AP/AR team to review invoices for accuracy, assisting with reconciliations
Update internal database, and spreadsheets for accurate reporting

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Demonstrated experience with AP/AR functions

Keen understanding of cash flow, inventory management, GAAP, and general Accounting principles
Demonstrated experience analyzing and delivering summaries of financial data to management/executives.
Intermediate level MS Excel abilities
Associate Degree and min 3 years' experience, OR Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field.
