Description

We are currently seeking a CNC Machinist for one of our clients. This is for a 2nd shift (Monday through Thursday) position, and is a temp-to-hire opportunity. Our client has a robust benefit program and is seeking an experienced machinist to work with manual lathes, as well as multi axis CNC machines.

Responsibilities:
Evaluate work orders and work with shift leads on daily priorities.
Perform setup processes, and operate all CNC, manual and precision measurement equipment.
Perform quality checks on products.
Read and interpret blue print drawings to make custom parts
Resolve issues related to defects or minor problems that arise.
Perform part and tool inspection regularly vs. specifications.
Assist co-workers and managers in other areas as needed

Working hours: 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM - MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY = 4 DAY WORK WEEK!

Skills:
CNC experience required
G or N code experience preferred
Experience with manual machining

Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience working with CNC (2, 3, 4, and 5 axis machines), Lathes, Mills, VMC, and Drill Press equipment.
Experience working with Bridgeport, Haas, Millacron (or similar) equipment
Ability to setup CNC equipment, and follow standard machining practices
Experience reading and interpreting print drawings/schematics
Precision measuring experience (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Strong communication skills required.
Basic computer literacy to perform basic data entry
CNC Programming skills a plus.
High School Diploma or GED required
