Description

We are currently seeking an experienced (direct hire) CNC Machinist for one of our clients. This is for a 1stshift (Monday through Friday position. You'll read and interpret various drawings and instructions and adjust to changing conditions/variances. You'll use multi-axis equipment to perform necessary work and prepare various metals for production and assembly. Small and large run experience preferred.

Responsibilities:
Evaluate work orders and work with shift leads on daily priorities.
Perform setup processes, and operate all CNC, manual and precision measurement equipment.
Perform quality checks on products.
Read and interpret blue print drawings to make custom parts
Resolve issues related to defects or minor problems that arise; rework parts and find ways to reuse salvage or leftover materials.
Perform part and tool inspection regularly vs. specifications.
Prepare written documentation reports for finished, reworked, and scrap material
Assist co-workers and managers in other areas as needed

2-4 years of experience working with CNC (2, 3, 4, and 5 axis machines), Lathes, Mills, Drill Press equipment.
Manual lathe and mill experience
Experience reading and interpreting print drawings/schematics
Precision measuring experience (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Verbal and written communication skills required.
Leadership experience preferred
Basic computer literacy to perform basic data entry
3+ years of CNC Programming skills required (i.e. Mastercam or similar software)
