Description

e-staff is recruiting for a Receptionist/Sales Assistant with a privately held company that is located in downtown Birmingham.

Responsibilities:
Answer multiline telephones, transfer calls, receive & distribute messages
Assist walk-in customers, accept payments, create receipts
Speak with customers by phone/email, create quotes in Excel
Large volume of filing (daily)
Enter orders, create PO's, scan orders, email appropriate vendors
Contact freight lines to schedule pickup, create invoices & send to customers
Determine weights of products and enter correct information for Bill of Ladings



Skills:
--MS Word (type letters, create file labels, mailing labels)
--MS Excel (create quotes, update reports, create reports)
--Typing, data entry, filing

Education:
High School

Experience:
Entry Level

Qualifications:
--Previous Receptionist & Customer Service experience required
--Experience creating PO's/Invoices/Orders/Shipping/Inside Sales is highly preferred
--Previous experience in an industrial/manufacturing office is highly preferred
--Clear and effective communication skills (verbal and written)
--Positive attitude with co-workers & customers
--Ability to quickly learn & retain computer systems, vendors, customers, and products
--Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
--Attention-to-detail
