Description

We are looking for experienced Welders to cut and join metals and other materials at our clients' facility. You will operate appropriate equipment to put attach structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your role as a welder is important as it completes a critical step in the production process. The ideal candidate will have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.

Our initial process will be a resume review, a phone interview, and an in-person interview with our client where your welding skills will be evaluated.

Responsibilities:
Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. using hand tools like hammers, screw drivers, and die grinders)
Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
Perform MIG and TIG welds on Stainless Steel and Aluminum, in various positions (vertical, horizontal or flat).
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Work stations are preset with all necessary equipment and PPE. Our client uses clearly defined labels so that each employee in a production cell knows what's expected of them, and where to find raw goods. You'll need to have steel toe shoes, and appropriate welding safety gear to take on this great temp to hire opportunity.

Working hours: 3:20 PM - 11:30 PM; or 11:20PM to 7:30AM

Qualifications:
Proven experience as welder
3 to 5 years of TIG MIG Welding Experience required
Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, grinders, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus
High School Diploma or GED
